"The Walk For A GREENER Tomorrow" or more commonly know as the 'walkathon' is basically a charity walk organised by the Leo Club in the Monash University. They're fundraising to assist YAWA (Yayasan Anak Warisan Alam) in the 'Adopt a Tree Project'...

As climate change has started to unfurl before our eyes, ignorance is still the main culprit that causes many of us to be optimistic rather than to do something. Most of us have grown in such an environment that we used to believe that our comfort is not threatened, that someone may someday invent a clever and cleaner technique to enable us to continue what we are today. But if there are so many positive works, so many fine people, so many concerns on environmental crisis, why there is still so little action?

It is time for us to make the action by contributing to the society...AND you cam make a difference!!!!!

This event targets students and staffs from nearby colleges and universities. Nonetheless, it also opens to general public within the age limit of 16-40. Students are allowed to bring along family members and friends to participate in this event

The routes are approximately 6 km starting from

1st checkpoint > Monash Sunway Campus main entrance
2nd checkpoint > Sunway Medical Centre main entrance
3rd checkpoint > Lagoon Perdana
4th checkpoint > Sunway Group main office
5th checkpoint > Sunway Pyramid main entrance
6th checkpoint > Kewajipan roundabout
7th checkpoint > 3K complex
Last checkpoint > Monash Sunway Campus carpark

Those who are interested in joining the Walkathon, please do check out for the registration form from the blogspot. Ways to send the registration form either by fax, email or print it out and send directly to Monash or send it to us and we'll send it for you together with the fees of RM20.

Other ways to pay the registration fees is via Maybank(need to include account no.)PS: Please help to spread this around and help to support the Go Green campaign. Anyone is welcome to join including non-members.

There will be talk include exhibitions, talks from companies and Free Movie Screening and as well as lucky draw after the walk.

At the same time, each participant will receive a certificate of participation.

For the t-shirt a booth will be set up two days before the event for participants to collect their T-shirt.

Friday (10/10/08) – 10am to 4pm
Saturday (11/10/08) – 11am to 3pm

Collection of T-shirt will only be available in Monash University Sunway Campus.

For those who unable to collect before hand, they can still collect the T-shirt on the day of the event during the registration. So no worries!!!

Is been a long time since this blog has any post... but it doesnt indicates that we are no longer there... we are there and lots of performance, show and events that we have participate at the past... and in near future we have 2 more events to go through..

It just that the writer of this blog which is ME couldn't find sufficient time to do it as he is now currently in ACCA and the workload is just getting LOADIER!!! HAHAA!!!

LECTURER APPRECIATION DAY!!!

On last Tuesday 13th of May, SYUC held ( from the above ) in Sunway pyramid and so i went there to perform.

And guess what... Mia Palencia is performing...YEA!!!! I like her song very much... I told you people this it the time where you support local music talents.... She is really good i tell you...Before this she perform last TOT and she perform in RUMS KL the night before here...And the lucky guest got free albums and the winners too.. LUCKY THEM!!!!

I have too buy the album for RM18 and downloaded from her site.. But its so much worthy i tell you...And here you are MIA PALENCIA... signing autograph for May and me...HAHAHA!!!

Before the day starts, we had some discussion and preparation for the performance before it starts...Like below here, we had Terry checking its music for the background...

The day starts off with the MC speech and of course the cake cutting ceremony...As we wait for our turn, well the guest starts to eat first and we were waiting quite long actually..and my stomach starts to grumble.... MAN!!!

I didn't even eat at college but i did eat lar in house... my stomach was heating for more charcoal at college already... but i keep it for MICHELANGELO'S... free people for us only....

And here is the food where we couldn't touch yet as it is time for us to perform lor... Delicious and tempting right? We can take how many as we want...KEKEEKe!!

TRACK OF TALENTS 25TH OF APRIL

TO people who are still curious what is Track of Talents all about.. let me tell you...

Track of Talents is a monthly event organized by 1 am Creativelife every last day of Friday in the month...

This event is a platform where the stage is given to anyone who wants to perform from any creative elements. We invite you to share us your talents with entertainment and fun all night long!

Any performances are welcomed be it singing, playing musical instruments, dancing or even stand up comedy. Any types of performance are all welcome! By far, we have all sorts of different performances including break dancers from the Philippines, we have art exhibition and caricature exhibition by our very own in house talents!

So come on in when you are bored, nothing to do, haven't planned anything yet.. just hop on in for a fun night!!!!!

Another performance by the Ravelution, Max with MJ braced the stage accompanied by an electronic-enhanced-techno with a slight hint of Arabian music by keyboardist, Hose.

Clad in a simple T-shirt and jeans, Adam from the Ravelution accompanied by a friend, Dimi showed us the wonder of throwing small wheel up in the air by a thread, sometimes, 2 wheels practically everywhere without getting them tied up in knots like I would. They are the yo-yo masters who spend hundreds of ringgit getting fanciful equipments to try out new moves and stuff

They are T.O.T's special guests for that night which came straight from Philipines to show their talents...Hailing from the Philippines, Talent Inc. was invited to the stage to share what they have prepared for us, a lineup of colourful choices of breathtaking performances. Talent Inc is a 1 year old team based in Davao, the Philippines under the church, Victor Christian Fellowship organized by the Fabregas. Together with us that night was Julia, Maybelle, Josh, Marlou, EJ, Ivy and their dedicated team of pastors. Ushering them to the stage was the romeo, Filipino on-screen-heartthrob, Pangako sayo actor, Jericho Rosales!!

They moved so passionately to the upbeat of the song they had the whole audience eyes on to them all the way...!!! WOOHIOO!!

They started off with a dance number to the remix version of Awesome God which was AMAZING.

Their second number was a song by the legendary Gloria Gaynor, I will survive.They ended with yet another excellent dance number, to the hit musical, Hairspray.

How about you guys out there, ready to show what you've got?
Wrapping up the night was our guest artist, our very own homegrown talent, Miss Melina William from Tempered Mental. The vocalist and the bassist from a three piece band, equipped with a guitar, a humble presence and a message to convey, she presented 4 songs for the night which kept the crowd wanting more when she delivered her last number. Easing her into arranging herself on the center stage was of course our lovely hosts, Neil and Cpt Cruz asking her lots of questions haha. The audience barely let up the releasing of adrenaline as she performed “Riddles”, a haunting melody and then “Blindfold” and the last one, “Re-Call”. Timeless tunes.

WHAT'S WITH THE FOOT PICTURE???

Don't get what the title are refering too? Well on last Wesneday 30th of April, Echo launched their own website in blogspot....

And Ravelution decided to join in the fun on their activitiy planned and support the Echo in what are they doing also...

The 5 minutes are called the FREEZE ZONE... KEKEKE!!! Before launching the website, Echo had it a frezze zone where is like time stop... everyone have to stop in what are they doing.. and this is the picture i can took while freezing... WAHSEI!!!

We even have performance from our member MJ and Jose later....

MEETINGS!!

On last Tuesday 29th of April, a meeting was held in the SSD where we are gather to have a brainstorming session for the upcoming performance on the Lecturer Appreciation Day on the 13th of May in Sunway Pyramid.

Before the session begins, after a long day of putting our heads into the books, we had a chill out time for awhile which we called it ice breaking lar...KEKEKE!!!

Well the idea is:

1. The committee members Vs the normal members.

2. Lined up in a line and the game rule is to remember their name. That simple. Anyone who are being picked is to said out their name as fast as you can compared to the other person.

3. The one who are able to said out the person name before, will have a point. For the one who failed to mention it will be penalized. Get it?????

TO THOSE WHO ARE WAITING FOR THIS POST, HERE IS IT...

TRACK OF TALENTS!!!

This time the host was Cuzario and Neil... and the very first performance was a dance from Creativelife itself..
Nice effect... THANK YOU LORD!!!

Bravo to these guys who never failed to performed... Since the very first till now.. HAHAHA... Ben performing a song entitled " I Need Love"... I told you girls out there, you will definitely drifted away by his romantic voice.. I assure you..

And here interviewing the biggest yet the youngest star of all... She is Samantha and she is 7 years old... Performing her musical instrument which is PIANO... She is brave and we all should be ashamed of ourselves... WHY? She perform on the stage in front of everyone..
Yet some of us had shaky leg in front of people on the stage... WHAT LAR... KEKEKE

If not mistaken the song Jude is performing was "Amazing Grace" with an electric guitar..he had a humour in stage while performing.. i mean like act cute..KEKEKE!!

After that we had a game Neil called it as " WASTING TIME" I'm not sure whether is it real or just joking...
Anyway to be selected the person must collect 7 pieces of paper with different instrument name written in there.. and the paper is scattered all around the hall..and we need to find it of course...Well i go like searching from there and here failing to get even one of it... Haizz..
And they are the lucky ones...

To play the game they need to roll the dice.. and all of it had to be the same colour..after that do spinning with your finger touching the floor for 4 times...

Then do the jumping, after that do hula hoop 10 times...

Very exhausting i can see that... HAHAHA!!! And for the winner they got prize for them to take home... I have no idea what is it... They are the winner

The next performance was from donno which island.. and mind you the name is damn long..i know is somewhere around Caribbean... And she is performing a song entitled " Just like a star"..she is from Lim Kok Wing University

We even have a folk dance performance from Arab Saudi...Ismail is in there and MJ is enjoying it..

And MIAPALENCIA is this month invited guest to perform here....

She is so talented and her voice drifted me away..performing her own released album song..Tell you more about her album later...
After her performance, i was wondering that we have a lot of talented people who are capable and had the standard..

but why are we not supporting the local one's instead the other way round... wondering... to published the album is very hard.. just by recording is amounted to RM 40 TO 50,000.. and haven't included the promotion and many more...
But i can say she is GOOD!!! Bought her song already.... buy it through the website... Just RM 18
But actually can get it for free.. the question was easy.. Who is the organizing?
Answer was 1am Creative Life.. And i know the answer but i answered 1am Life... WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ME!!!! ARGGGHHHH!!!

The meeting started with a little ICE-BREAKING where the game is called Sherade if not mistaken.... the game is handled by BelQaizi...

How is the game played?

- The game is guess the song title lor.... well the members are divided to groups where 2 representative from each group must not speak but show to them in action to give a hint to that members in the group.

-In 30 seconds the member must answered it, if not the chance will be given to the rest of the groups. If answer is correct, the group will be given point.

After that, the meeting continued with a little introduction of the club and the committee member by Doris and Max..

In the meeting, there are videos shown and activity highlighted to the member in the near future.

Finally is on for RECRUITMENT WEEK..

For your information Recruitment Week is held for the clubs and societies to recruit for more new members into the house.... and here is the RAVELUTION booth..

For the 3 days in the Recruitment Week, we could found a lot of talented people in the college who are not being discovered or realized their hidden skill at all. The turnout of the clubs , the events , and the people this year are greater and even bigger...

For our very first time participating in the RECRUITMENT WEEK formally know as Induction Week, we send 2 teams and a solo performance to perform at the stage.. and in addition at our booth, we also have street performances by our very own talented people in the house hoping that we will start with a blast and ends it with a BANG in the period of 3 days!!! HAHAHA!!! THANKS TO THEM!!!
